Selecting Your Countertop

  • Select a color and pattern that you can live with for a long time.
  • Inspecting the actual slab that will be used for your countertop should follow initial selection from a sample. Because they are natural materials granite and marble samples may differ considerably from actual slab. Be sure to bring your cabinet, wall and covering samples to place along side the actual slab to confirm kitchen and bath color coordination. Our suppliers maintain a large inventory of granite and marble slabs for your selection. We suggest that each of our customers visit one of our preferred suppliers to make their slab selections.
  • Select an edge treatment that is compatible with the style and look of your kitchen or bath. There are many edge treatments to choose from, but generally a rounded or beveled edge is more resistant to chipping than a square edge. More complicated edge treatments are more expensive. Sample edge profiles are available for your inspection in our show room or at one of our preferred suppliers.
  • Provide drawings of your cabinet along with the material and edge profile to obtain a quote or you may request a Stone Concepts, Inc.representative come to your home for a free quote. Our experienced sales staff can walk you through the entire process.
